Here's where you can see the majority of our activities and how we interact at the local level and beyond. 

FFA Week

Local Level

National FFA Week is a great opportunity to advocate agriculture and FFA through daily activities.  

Annual Community Spaghetti Supper

Local Level

The Saturday night following FFA Week we host a Community Supper.

Adopt-A-Highway

Local Level

We have 2 miles of Highway 65 we clean twice a year.

Officer Retreat  

Local Level

Mormon Trail officers got together and had a campout at our local lake. Here they talked about upcoming events and set up the upcoming years calendar. 

Parent-Member Banquet 

Local Level

Parents and members come together to celebrate accomplishments and hand out awards for the year.  

Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE)

Local Level

Members are encouraged to learn record book keeping skills through their Supervised Agriculture Experience. 

Food For America

Local Level

 High school members teach elementary students about where their food comes from and how it's produced along with bin and livestock safety.

Ag Day

Local Level

We participate in Ag Awareness Day at Decatur County Fairgrounds . Along with Central Trail FFA and Lamoni FFA we educate elementary students about safety ranging from small animal, large animal to equipment.

Angel Tree

Local Level

Every year our chapter picks 2 "Angels" from the Community Angel Tree to buy gifts for.  This is our way of giving back to families in need.

County Fair

Local Level

Our members can either show at Decatur County Fair, Lucas County Fair, Clarke County Fair or Wayne County Fair.  Most of our members show at Decatur and Lucas County Fairs.

Memorial Flags

Local Level

Members hang flags in the Humeston Cemetery in order to help prepare it for Memorial Day. 

Ag Producers Lunch

Local Level

The chapter teams up with Wayne FFA to prepare and deliver over 80 meals to farmers and ag producers in Lucas, Decatur, Wayne, and Clarke county.  

Operation Christmas Meal

Local Level

 The chapter teams up with Iowa Select Farms to hand out pork loins to families in need during the Christmas season so nobody has to go without a Christmas Meal. 

6th Grade Recruitment

Local Level

 Middle school members and high school officers visits 6th grade to talk about FFA and do team building exercises. 

Fruit and Cheese

Local Level

Members have annual fruit and cheese sales. This year left over fruit was given to our schools local food pantry. 

 Iowa State Fair

Three members showed at the Iowa State Fair and received many ribbons for their livestock. 

Little Hands On The Farm

Three members and one guest traveled to the Iowa State Fair to teach kids about agriculture. 

State Convention

Sub-Districts

 We had members participate in Sub-District Leadership Contests- Ag. Broadcasting, Job Interview, Chapter Program and Greenhand.

 Meals From the Heartland

The Chapter members participated in Meals From the Heartland at State Convention.

 National Convention

Four members went to National Convention, they also watched an out-of-school member receive his American Degree.
